This species is a rare tree in New Zealand. Identified by Kew Gardens UK. for Mr. Ray Mole, past curator of Wellington Botanic Garden'. Shepherd 1990. 'The removal of rotting limbs reaching out into the roadside vegetation is recommended (Duthie, 1991).
Originally listed in the database as Schinus latifolia var tomentosus, but this is a synonym of Schinus velutinus. |
