Tree Type: Group
Registered By: Timberland, B. D.
Registration Category: Notable tree/s – Local interest
General Notes:
A notable group of Fagus sylvatica 'Purpurea' (Purple Beech) stands as a prominent feature of the area. In 2024, a community group celebrated the tree's 100th birthday with a ceremony and by planting five related trees nearby.

The trees are mostly healthy, displaying a strong canopy and vibrant form. However, some show signs of root deformation and some damage caused by nearby road developments and footpaths. Despite these challenges, they continue to thrive and provide an impressive appearance (Timberland, B. D., 2024)
