One of two fine trees located on the roadside at the bus bay of Waimea College. In the early nineties there were an additional 4 trees situated nearby. A slighly smaller tree is located on the Waimea Intermediate School frontage. All of these trees do not have the large bulbous lignotuber that is common on other notable local trees. Both trees are protected and are listed on the Tasman Resource Management Plan. This tree carries plaque number 733.
