An outstanding specimen located on the ridge above the eastern side of Duncan Bay. There are a number of other large rimu in the area that appear to have survived the logging that took place here in the early years. This tree is the finest looking of those located so far and is unique in that the are no kiekie and other epiphytes growing up the bole (Hassan, 2015).
