Recorded as the largest weeping Wych elm in New Zealand in Burstall and Sale's 1984 book Great Trees of New Zealand. The tree was recently damaged by fire (NZNTT, 2015).
The tree has now been surpassed by several other larger trees (NZNTT, 2023). |
